Santa Fe Synthetic Network

Santa Fe Synthetic Network version 0.8

A fully synthetic distribution dataset for Santa Fe, NM has been created using the U.S. Reference Network Model (RNM-US). It includes urban and sub-urban areas. In previous iterations, this dataset was labeled as demo2.

The synthetic network can be visualized using the set of provided GIS files. The base network is provided in OpenDSS format.

This version includes numerous improvements over version 0.1, including adjustments to feeder loading, transformer sizing, improved settings for fuses and reclosers.

In the base directory there is a folder named "analysis". This contains information about the voltages on the network after simulating the peak planning load included in this scenario. This includes raw data, histograms of voltages and voltage-distance plots for each feeder, computed by simulating the entire dataset.

Additionally, data has been broken down by feeder and substation to allow analysis on individual feeders and substations in addition to the full system. The base folder contains a single Master.dss file, which will simulate powerflow for the entire SAF dataset. The subfolders labeled uhs* represent different substations in the network. Each of these folders contains a Master.dss file which will simulate powerflow for that substation. Within each substation is one folder for each feeder. The Master.dss in the feeder folder will simulate powerflow for that feeder alone.

More detailed information and a manual will be included in future revisions.
